5-Year-Old in Coma After Dental VisitAs a kid, I always used to hear people talking about people not waking up after surgery, and I just thought that's pretty scary. And a couple months ago, I heared that dentists would actually recomend sedation for little kids, while they work on their teeth, a lot of these teeth would fall off pretty soon anyway and be naturally replaced by new ones. A 5 year old Chicago girl was sedated during a dental visit at storefront dental clinic, and didn't wake up, and remained in comma at the Children's Memorial Hospital. The girl's mother said the girl was given an oral sedative followed by an intravenous sedative and nitrous oxide gas.  Galveston County Daily News By Paper Clip at 2006-09-25 11:55 | Paper Clip's blog | login or register to post comments | 350 reads
